Peterson's Store in Green Mountain NC

On September 27, 2025 the community of Huntdale in Green Mountain was devastated by Hurricane Helene. The historic Peterson’s Store and its surrounding buildings were completely destroyed. The family-run business had been serving the community for over 120 years.

Now, after being rebuilt, Peterson’s Store had its Grand Reopening on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
