Our Mission
The Bakersville Area Merchants Association is a group of businesses in the rural northern section of Mitchell County, North Carolina. With a rare exception, all of our stores and shops are “Mom & Pop” and family enterprises.
We’ve joined together to let folks outside our area know about what you can experience in our beautiful part of the Appalachian Mountains.
We’re tucked away from the interstates, big city traffic congestion and, depending on where you are, visiting us might just require a drive on some scenic mountain roads. You should be so lucky!
